Beautiful tree chopped down

Another beautiful gum tree was chopped down in my street.

I read with dismay as so many more trees are lined up for the axe or saw.

Why do we learn that trees are good for fresh air when so many are bent on cutting them down?

Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that leaves have to be raked up off the lawn.

The last survey conducted by council asked "How many nature birds, species are in your area?"

If I had to fill it in again, half of the birds listed then would not be placed on my survey, due to loss of habitat.

I am very sad.
