Concert for hospital

Troubadour Folk Club will be presenting The Wheeze and Suck Band with support act The Usual Suspects in a special event to help raise funds for Woy Woy Hospital.

This event will be held on June 4 at 8pm at the Peninsula Theatre on the corner of Ocean Beach and McMasters Rds, Woy Woy, and has been organised in conjunction with the Woy Woy Hospital Auxiliary.

The Wheeze and Suck Band were headlined at last year's Umina Beach Folk Festival.

They performed at the last three Australia Day celebrations in Woy Woy and at both the Patonga Folk Festivals.

They feature a variety of instruments including an Appalachian dulcimer, violin, guitar, and concertina.

The Usual Suspects are a Peninsula-based group who perform a variety of music styles using a combination of guitars, mandolins, bass guitar, harmonica, keyboard and three voices.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12.50 concession or student.

They are available from Peninsula Music, George St, Woy Woy, or at the door if not sold out
