Charity Ball for research

Ettalong Bowling Club will be holding a "Forget-Me-Not" Charity Ball on Friday, May 28, organised by Helen McDonald.

The ball will start at 7pm and continue until late.

Special guests will include Australian Rugby Union player Mark Ella, Cr Laurie Maher and Lilija Sile, an operetta soprano performing musical classics.

Tickets are $40 per head and all proceeds go towards the Ageing and Alzheimer's Research Association.

Helen McDonald is also working in conjunction with Graham Felton to organise an ''Around Australia 25th Anniversary Ride''.

This ride commemorates the first trip around Australia on motorcycle and outfit by Jack Bowers and Frank Smith in 1929.
