Umina juniors seek support

Umina Junior Rugby League Football Club is seeking the support of the Peninsula community following the collapse of its senior club.

Club secretary Ms Katie Smith said: "The juniors are still going strong and are preparing for the start of the 2003 season.

"While we are obviously saddened by the failure of the senior club, the two clubs were always independent in every sense.

"We have always had our own coaching staff, committee and finances.

"We want to reassure our players, past and present, along with our sponsors and the Peninsula community that our club is not affected by the senior collapse."

She said she look forward to seeing Peninsula residents at registration and throughout the season.
