Load limit to be imposed

A three-tonne load limit will be imposed on Melba Rd and on Paton, Moana and Mutu Sts, Woy Woy.

The limit will apply in Paton St between Rawson Rd and Ocean Beach Rd, in Moana St north of Rawson Rd, and in Melba Road between Railway St and Ocean Beach Rd.

The decision was made on January 7 by council senior management and the mayor, who were appointed to make decisions on behalf of Council over the holiday break.

The decision follows a traffic committee recommendation, adopted by the council in August 2000, to advertise a three-tonne load limit on the listed streets.

The proposal was advertised for a period of 28 days and no comments were received.
