Truck prohibition proposed

Trucks will be prohibited and a load limit imposed on Gallipoli Ave, Woy Woy, in a proposal to be publicly advertised.

In a delegated decision early this month, the mayor and council senior management decided to advertise the proposal so the results could be considered at a future council traffic committee meeting.

Just a month earlier, the council had adopted a traffic committee recommendation that no action be taken to impose a load limit on Gallipoli Ave.

The decision to advertise the proposal came after residents of Gallipoli Ave again requested that a load limit be considered on Gallipoli Ave between Ocean Beach Rd and Memorial Ave.
