The skills included straight and curved sewing, applique, fancy stitches and button holes.

Teachers said the results were commendable with many creative ideas and some high quality work.

The students included Jessica Walkley, Katrina McNaught, Jaime-Lee Albury, Amy Hanks, Cassie Makey, Keira Swain, Rebecca Dawes, Shannyn Payne and Amelia Wilkinson.

The next project for the students is to make denim skirts.
