Leagues club raises $3000

Woy Woy Leagues Club staff, members and guests raised $3035.55 in the Leukaemia Foundation’s "World’s Greatest Shave for a Cure".

Mick Curtain got the ball rolling by saying that he would have his beard and head shaved if the club organised the event.

Narelle Commons contacted the Leukaemia Foundation and organised the hair dressers from Cactus Hair Design in Ettalong.

Fishing club secretary Amanda Hucker raised $800 by giving up her locks while her daughter Kasy raised $121 through her school

Samanther Curtain also raised her sponsorship of $145 at her school.

Other amounts raised were $170 by Ladies Auxiliary president Wendy Sharman, $318 by Denis Lowry; $280 by Chris Lowry; $128 by Chris Hall; $150 by Mick Curtain; $50 by Tony Stoker; and, $300 by Alan Smith.

An additional $573.55 was raised on the night.
