Learn aboriginal art

Peninsula residents will have the chance to learn Aboriginal Art at a class being offered in Woy Woy next term by Hunter Institute of Technology.

This class is for budding artists, those who want to learn more about Aboriginal culture, meet new people, try new ideas, or explore their creativity.

The high quality of these Aboriginal Art classes was demonstrated during Reconciliation Week when several students won prizes in the Fair Trading Art Competition.

The class will be run from six to nine on weekday evenings.

Two hours of the class will be painting and the remaining hour will be jewellery-making.

Contact Denise Markham at TAFE on 4348 2286 for more information.
