One Nation chooses Errol Baker

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party has endorsed Peninsula resident Errol Baker as the official candidate in the Robertson Electorate for the coming Federal Election.

"I am not going to make any promises that I can’t keep, but I do promise that I will listen to what people have to say to me," said Mr Baker.

"And I promise that I will act responsibly."

Mr Baker said there were many things that had to be fixed in "our great country".

"For too long politicians have believed that we, the people, are their servants, whereas in reality, they are the servants of the people."

Mr Baker said he was "really concerned about what happens in the electorate, to both the people and the surroundings".

"The Central Coast has always been my home," he said.

"My business is here and with my wife, Eileen, I am raising my family here."

Mr Baker said a great deal of care had to be taken with the Central Coast.

"We are expanding, yet we must retain and improve our unique quality of life."

A seat in Federal Parliament brought with it a responsibility for the whole of Australia, he said.

"I will represent and fight for the Central Coast community, and the citizens of greater Australia.

"Our civic responsibility is a huge responsibility, and we must not be afraid to take that responsibility.

"As a party, One Nation has not been isolated from the true wants and needs of middle Australia, and that is a vast majority of us.

"Like Pauline Hanson, I run a small business, and my customers talk to me.

"We know what peoples’ concerns are, and we want to know more.

"It can be difficult for the average young family to keep afloat.

"I know, I have a second job as well as running my own shop."

Mr Baker said his party had a "finger on the pulse of the people".

He said limited funds, pensions and self-funding retiree programs were a concern to him and to his party.

"Banks must be made to accept their community responsibilities.

"Local manufacturers must be nurtured to re-establish viable business.

"Customs must be enlarged to increase the fight against drugs - I stand for ‘zero tolerance’ - law and order must be returned to the streets of our cities and towns.

"These are Australia-wide issues as well as being local issues."
