Under-12s cricketers had 'outstanding' season
Southern Spirit Cricket Club U12A's coach Alec Shaw has reported that his team were "outstanding" during the season.
"The under-12s had a great start to the season winning their first two games," he said.
"The wins saw them being moved from the B division up into A division.
"Initially we thought that it would be a challenge, especially for the boys who hadn't had as much cricket experience.
"However, they were all outstanding and with the challenge came some great results.
"The team played 14 rounds in the A division, winning the majority of their games, conceding only five losses.
"All games were great to watch, with all the boys contributing in every game with loads of enthusiasm and encouragement.
"Everyone learnt a lot throughout the season.
"I hope they all enjoyed it as much as I did."
