Big bowls finals played at Everglades
Two big finals were played at Everglades Bowling Club on Thursday, March 28.
The Major Women's Pairs Championship was played between Vicki Redrup and Karen Eagleson against Judith Maddison and Helen Cooper.
Judith and Helen took the early lead.
Helen had some fantastic bowls as the lead and Judith and Helen managed to hold the lead for quite a few ends.
After the 12th end, Vicki and Karen took the lead from them.
All players had some great bowls.
Vicki and Karen defeated Judith and Helen 22-15 to become Major Pairs champions.
Both have been playing for less than five years.
The Mixed Pairs final was played between Maureen Carlyle and Richard Carlyle against Andrew McDonald and Jeannette Jenkins.
The game was close throughout the match.
After some brilliant bowls played by every player, Maureen and Richard defeated Andrew and Jeanette 20-13.
