Woy Woy 10-year-old wins State swimming bronze

Woy Woy Swim Club 10-year-old swimmer Kai Evans has won a bronze medal in the boys' 200m freestyle at the Junior State Age Championships held over the weekend of March 23 and 24.

Kai came sixth in the 100m breaststroke and seventh in the 100m freestyle.

In 50m events, he came 14th in breaststroke, 15th in butterfly, 24th in freestyle and 28th in backstroke.

Levi Sinclaire swam in the 12-year boys, swimming a personal best in the 400m freestyle to come eighth.

He was13th in 200m freestyle and 17th in the 200m breaststroke.

He was 19th in 100m breaststroke and 24th in 100m freestyle.

In 50m breaststroke, he was 24th and in 50m freestyle 45th.

Aimee Lockie swam personal bests in two 12-year girls 50m events, coming 14th in freestyle and 33rd in backstroke.

She was unplaced in 100m backstroke.

Ruby Chadd-Dufficy swam personal bests in two 11-year girls 50m events.

She came 22nd in freestyle and 44th in butterfly.

In 50m 11-year girls events, Joanna Lei placed 38th in backstroke, 55th in freestyle and was unplaced in butterfly.

Reef Mueller came 56th in 12-year boys 50m freestyle, but was unable to complete other events due to illness.

Zade Graham was unplaced in 10-year boys 50m breaststroke.
