Library holds 'glow workshops' in school holidays

Woy Woy Library will hold a number of "glow" workshops for children aged between four and 12 years, as part of its school holiday program.

Glow Sensory Workshops will be held from 10am to 11am on Tuesday, April 16, and from 2:30pm to 3:30pm on Wednesday, April 17.

This messy hands-on workshop for children aged five to eight years will be held in "The Midnight Zone" glow room.

Partipants will "squish, stretch and mould" their way through a number of glowing activities to "ignite the senses".

They will make their own sensory creation to take home.

Participants are encouraged to wear something white or fluorescent.

Ready, Aim, Glow workshops will be held for children aged eight to 12 years from 12:30pm to 1:15pm on Tuesday, April 16, and from 10am to 10:45am on Thursday, April 18.

Those attending will test their arm and eye coordination in glowing games held in "The Midnight Zone" glow room, scoring points along the way.

A Glow Engineers Workshop for children aged six to nine years at Woy Woy Library from 2:30pm to 3:30pm on Tuesday, April 16, and 12pm to 1pm on Wednesday, April 17.

For children who enjoy building and hands-on construction, children will "unleash the engineer within" and try their hand at challenges using glowing building materials.

"Tales in the Glow Room" will be held for children aged four to seven years from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, April 17.

Participants will hear some stories and make craft that glow under the ultraviolet lights.

Bookings are essential for all workshops.

Book online from this page, ask in any library branch or phone 4304 7087 or 4350 1578.

Further information is available and bookings may be made at the library or by phone on 4304 7087 or 4350 1578.
