Council decisions will destroy the Peninsula
Our elected Central Coast councillors and staff are saying one thing and very much doing the opposite (Peninsula News edition 464).
Council is developing a "greening places strategy" to "enhance" urban tree canopy and reduce urban heat effects.
At the same time, residents' concerns and objections are being ignored with the approval time after time of developments far over size, beyond planning control boundaries.
The first step in these developments is total clearing of blocks including mature trees which make the Peninsula cool, clean and comfortable to live.
It seems the development trend is to be accelerated.
This will, in time, make for a sterile overcrowded precinct which will destroy the livability of the Woy Woy Peninsula.
