Champions emerge in Handicap Pairs
Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club's 2019 Handicap Pairs competition ended on Tuesday, March 5, with the team of Terry Brown and Peter Zaouk emerging as champions.
"The Handicap Pairs is a popular competition designed to even out the ladder by handicapping all players, creating the opportunity for members to win a championship irrespective of their grade and experience," said club publicity officer Mr Colin Mew.
"Played over 18 ends at twilight through the summer months, the Handicap Pairs competition has proved a great start to the open championships and the zone pennant season.
"Terry and Peter toppled Kym Cridland and Gary Edmonds to take out the title.
"It was a sensational game, which kept the spectators enthralled throughout," Mr Mew said.
