Artists' collective moves to Ettalong
An artists' collective that provides a platform and support for Central Coast artists has moved its operation to Ettalong.
The Art Studios Co-operative was previously based in Gosford but moved to the Bay Gallery, situated on Broken Bay Rd, Ettalong, in February.
Co-operative artists have been busy over the past few weeks transforming the gallery into their ideal exhibition space.
The Bay Gallery will feature the works of artists Ms Victoria Austen-Young, Ms Karen Bloomfield, Ms Leasha Craig, Ms Dianne Gerlach, Ms Carolyn Griffiths and Ms Helen Mortimer.
"The light and bright Bay Gallery and its location offer a fresh and professional perspective for the artists' presenting contemporary 2D and 3D artworks and a new focus for the Co-operative," Ms Craig said.
"We are all very excited about our new premises and we are looking forward to being an active part of the cultural identity of the already vibrant Ettalong and anticipate the exciting growth of the area as it becomes a focal point for fine art on the Peninsula," she said.
An open night was planned for March 22 with independent candidate for Robertson Mr David Abrahams a guest speaker.
