First class in permaculture held at Killcare

The first class of a permaculture design certificate course was held at Killcare Surf Life Saving Club on March 8.

"Our first course was full of information, inspiration and ideas shared between a group of 25 like-minds, including facilitators Paula and Ian Panaanan," said Killcare Connect event organiser Ms Anna Trigg.

"We are excited to be learning about permaculture and sustainability with world-renowned trainers in one of our community's prime meeting places, our surf lifesaving club.

"Opening up another community space to offer incredible things like this course is why Community Connect was created.

"If it is about connecting and community in positive, sustainable ways then Community Connect can host it," Ms Trigg said.

"It can be anything from dance classes to documentary screenings."

She said the group welcomed ideas, courses, classes and events that are relevant to the Killcare community.
