Folk club moves

The Troubadour Folk Club is moving premises and will now meet at Woy Woy Masonic Hall.

The folk club has become so popular that it has outgrown the original venue at the CWA Hall in Woy Woy.

"The new venue will has better seating, lighting and better facilities all round," said Mr Cec Bucello, vice-president of the Central Coast Bush Dance and Music Association.

"It also has a stage which will create a more performance-friendly atmosphere."

The Troubadour folk and acoustic music club meets on the second Friday of every month where it hosts local performers as well as guest artists.

As well as performance nights, membership of the folk club also opens opportunities to attend session nights and get togethers where members can exchange ideas, play music and build their confidence for performance or simply enjoy an atmosphere of song and music in an informal environment.

Their next meeting will be at the Masonic Hall on Friday, May 14, with guests Touchwood.

Touchwood are a vocal trio from Sydney and perform everything from a medieval pilgrim song to a vocal arrangement of a contemporary hit.
