A base in West St

A property consultancy and development group has recently decided to make West St, Umina, its base.

Harcorp Group has signed a five-year lease and refurbished the building.

The firm has established offices and work stations upstairs and a reception area, boardroom and meeting rooms downstairs.

Harcorp Group employs nine staff and is currently involved in 50 projects around New South Wales including at Bermagui, Yamba, Tuggerah Business Parks and the Blue Mountains.

Proprietor Brett Harrod has lived on the Peninsula for over 30 years and commuted to Western Sydney for 24 years where he established a successful real estate business.

"The move to Umina suits my living style and has been well received by our clients," Mr Harrod said.

"I went to school at Woy Woy High School and I am now pleased to be able to establish my business in this area.

"We are often on the road for many days at a time and it is always good to be able to return to the Central Coast.

"We deal with many different councils and some, particularly on the North Coast, are more progressive in processing than others.

"Development applications to some councils are approved as quickly as six weeks," he said.

Harcorp specialises in developing "raw" sites to completion and is sole developer of about 80 percent of its projects.
