Playground will be off-limits

The playground at Ettalong Public School will be off limits for a number of dates in May due to work on the trees to improve safety.

Over the holidays some of the large dead trees were removed form the playground.

The school has received approval and funding to continue to prune, trim and remove some more trees.

The trees being worked on are considered to be dangerous or in need of care.

Some large coral trees will be removed because they have become diseased.

For safety reasons, parts of the playground will be out of bounds while the trees are being worked on.

Parents and students have been asked to keep away from these areas while the work is in progress.

The trees will be worked on over Saturday, May 1, Monday May 3, Tuesday, May 4 and Saturday, May 8
