Teachers seek strike exemption

Teachers of Pretty Beach Public School chose not to participate in the NSW Teachers Federation industrial action strike held on Tuesday, December 2.

Instead, they attended their school's scheduled swimming carnival at Gosford Pool.

The teachers applied for an exemption from strike action, due to the difficulty in obtaining an alternative date at the pool.

Some teachers also stayed on duty back at school to supervise the kindergarten and Year 1 students who were not involved with the carnival.
