Meeting about pre-school

A meeting of people interested in establishing a permanent home for the Walsingham Community Pre School was held at Killcare Heights recently.

The Walsingham Community Pre-school currently operates from a church in Pretty Beach.

The meeting was told that, for the past three years, Kim Chippendale had being working on securing a block of land to build a child care facility on Maitland Bay Dr, Killcare Heights.

A year ago she was successful in securing State Government funding through the Department of Community Services to build on the site.

She said she was worried that the DOCS funding would not be available indefinitely.

It was hoped that a meeting with Gosford Council officers would determine whether the site could be made suitable for the pre-school.
