Emotional farewell

It was an emotional Christmas Party that was held for the students, families and teachers of Peninsula Dance and Theatre School recently.

Principal Angela Denman, or Miss "A" as she is known by her students and parents, sold her business located at the Peninsula Community Centre after 18 years.

Students vary from three-year-olds through to adults.

Every year, the school performs pantomimes at Laycock St Theatre, showcasing the school's wide range of dance styles such as rad ballet, jazz and tap, as well as drama, musical theatre and singing.

The musical theatre class toured Queensland at all major theme parks and various venues in Brisbane from the school's production company "Dance City Theatricals".

Also sad to go is drama teacher Margaret Denman.

"What started out as a dream all those years ago became a reality," Ms Denman said.

This year's Christmas Party saw Miss "A" handing out medallions to all the students with the word "Believe" engraved onto it.

This reminded students to believe in themselves, so their dreams could come true.

Angela will continue to produce children's pantomimes during school holidays.
