Kimberley art on show

Indigenous art from the East Kimberley will be on show at Patonga in January.

Patonga Bake House Gallery will hold an exhibition "Deserts of the Sea" with artwork by artists from the Yarliyil Art Centre in the East Kimberley.

Artists such as Willy Billabong, Lorna Thomas, Tiny McCale, Stan Brumby and Jack Lenergan will be exhibited.

The exhibition open at 2pm on Saturday, January 17 and will be open from 10am to 4pm each day.

The artwork may be seen by appointment between January 26 and February 4.

Yarliyil is funded by the ATSIC.

The centre is at Halls Creek in Western Australia and is directed by Meg Norling and run by a committee of local artists.

All proceeds of sales will go to Yarliyil.
