Dance schools hold concert

The annual "Stairway to Stardom" concert was held at Ettalong Memorial Club on Sunday, December 7.

Students of Lovett's School of Jazz and Tap and Nicole Classique performed together for the show.

The concert kicked off with a favourite show tune segment which included Roxy, Anything Goes, Mr Bo Jangles and 42nd Street.

This was followed by a view in to the "Enchanted Garden".

There was plenty of jazz and funk items, and the concert closed with the beautiful "White Swan" Ballet.

This was the last time the two studios will operate as one.

Pam Lovett handed over her academy earlier this year to Miss Kim Bemet and Miss Nicole Wilkinson and Pam is now freelance teaching in Newcastle.

Nicole has already opened her own studio in Woy Woy while Kim will remain based in Umina and Empire Bay under the new name "Dance Rage".

Kim Bemet is a fully qualified LGTDA tap teacher and has experience in Jazz-Funk and Cabaret, and has also engaged a classical teacher.
