Letter's owner is sought

Woy Woy police are seeking the owner of a historic letter and other property that has been handed into the police station.

The letter, written in 1945, was sent from a male involved in World War II to his mother.

The envelope is addressed to 'Anthos/Anthis' at a Parramatta address.

Police believe the letter may be of tremendous sentimental value and as such have launched an appeal to locate its owner.

The property was handed into Woy Woy Police Station on December 1.

Anybody with information that may assist police locate the owner is asked to contact Woy Woy Police on 4341 9122.
