Woy Woy Rd speeders targeted

Speeding drivers on Woy Woy Road will be the target of a new State Government road safety campaign to be launched last month.

The State Government will contribute $5000 to the Our Road, Our Responsibility campaign developed by Gosford City Council's road safety officer.

Member for Peats Ms Marie Andrews said: "A large number of crashes occur on the two kilometre section between the Scout camp and Staples Lookout, with many motorists failing to drive to the conditions or observe speed limits."

The campaign will involve special warning signs at strategic locations along Way Woy Road advising of the area's accident history and encouraging drivers to slowdown.
