Caught in the act
Terrigal tradesman, Dean Poile, was enjoying his lunch at Woy Woy's CJ's Cafe with his mates just before Christmas when they heard glass being smashed.
Dean and his friends glanced over the wall to see what was happening and were astounded to see their work truck being broken into by a man and a woman.
"I jumped over the fence and grabbed hold of the bloke and asked him what he was doing," said Dean.
"The girl then went feral and started attacking me."
Dean said the man then escaped his clutches and a chase ensued down the main street of Woy Woy.
"We caught him and walked him back to the cafe," said Dean.
"Someone had called the police and by the time we got back they were there.
"The police were magnificent."
Only a few days earlier, police apprehended another person, who was caught breaking into a car in the Swancott Centre in Woy Woy.
In this incident, the car's owner also held the offender until police arrived.
