Roosters announce the return of Kyle McLean
The Woy Woy Roosters have announced the return of Kyle McLean to the rugby league football club for the coming season.
Kyle played with Woy Woy from under-6s- through to first grade "before leaving the nest and having a crack in the big smoke".
Playing for The Entrance Tigers in Newcastle's Denton Cup competition last year, he responded to a call from Woy Woy's first grade coach, his older brother Blake McLean.
Kyle was named in Newcastle's Denton Cup team of the year and in the top three tackle breakers for the competition in 2023.
His father Aaron was a player in Woy Woy's last first grade premiership winning team.
