Brisbane Water club represented at bridge congress
A number of Brisbane Water Bridge Club players attended the Central Coast Bridge Club Super Congress competing in pairs competition on Saturday, March 23, and teams competition on Sunday, March 24.
They played either as full Brisbane Water Bridge Club representatives or mixed with friends from other clubs.
On the Saturday, Brisbane Water Bridge Club novices John Aldersley and Beryl Lowry and Caroline Nichols and Graham Woof managed top half performances amongst the 84 pairs attending.
In the Open Division, Chris Hannan and Christine Hadaway picked up a sixth and Lorraine and Deborah Guthrie 10th.
The Sunday competition, which attracted 24 teams, was won by a combined Brisbane Water-Gosford team of Wendy Mitchell, Henrietta Hohnen and Christine Hadaway, who finished with a 4-1-1 score card.
