Book fair raises $2456
The Summer Holiday Book Fair held at Pearl Beach on Thursday, December 28, has raised $2456.
The fair was held in the Pearl Beach Memorial Hall.
It was organised by the Pearl Beach Progress Association, with the proceeds going towards hall upkeep and maintenance and other Pearl Beach initiatives.
Co-ordinator Ms Alison Phillips described the sale as "a huge success".
"A crowd gathered outside awaiting the 9am start and eagerly made their way to the numerous tables covered in good quality fiction books, biography books, dvd's and puzzles," she said.
"A steady flow of book loving people continued to arrive throughout the four hours of the Sale making it the most profitable Summer Sale to date."
