Tribute paid to Heather Brown

Brisbane Water Bridge Club has paid tribute to one of its members, Pearl Beach resident Ms Heather Brown, who died last month.

"Heather Brown joined Brisbane Water Bridge Club in 2006 and quickly became a true club stalwart supporting our functions and special bridge events," said club president Mr Jim Routledge.

"Heather would often cook for special events, such as Charity Day, and I remember sampling her delicious soup.

"Heather loved playing bridge and the company of the club membership.

"She will be sadly missed.

"Her good humour, spontaneous friendship and desire to help others will be remembered and appreciated by all."

Ms Brown was also known through her involvement in the Pearl Beach Progress Association and the Rotary Club of Woy Woy with her husband Mr Vic Brown.

In social media comments, Pearl Beach residents described her as special.

"Heather had a spark in her that was fun.

"She had a private side to her and at the same time a great sense of humour."

Her funeral was held at the Greenway Chapel on Tuesday, December 19.
