Holiday activities for all ages at Woy Woy South
A week of school holiday activities will be held at Woy Woy South Public School this week.
Family activities for children aged from pre-school to Year 6 will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am each day.
Activities for teens run from 5pm to 7:30pm each evening.
Known as Summerfest and run by Grace Church Peninsula, director Mr Craig Dobbie describes it as a "low-cost, open house, week of fun for all parents on the Peninsula".
Cost is $6 per child or $10 per family per day.
Activities for children include craft, drama, painting, games and making a reality TV show, with separate activity streams for pre-schoolers, for Kindergarten to Year 2, and for Years 3 to 6.
Mr Dobbie said a creche would operate as well as a Getaway Cafe for parents, serving light snacks, tea, real coffee and entertainment.
The cafe will host a number of professionals and experts with talks and discussion, covering topics that include parenting, family, health issues and real life stories, he said.
The week culminates on Saturday, January 13, with a family carnival and barbecue at Umina Beach Public School.
All carers have a government authorised "Working with Children Check" and training in safe practices.
