Youth dance at Mingaletta for Coastal Twist Festival

A Magical Tricksters youth dance for 12 to 17 year olds will be held at Mingaletta from 5pm to 10pm on Friday, September 29, as part of the Coastal Twist Festival.

It will be the fourth dance party run by the Young Authentic And Social program of the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus, and will have themes of Bewitched, Enchantment and Illusion.

"Get your magic tricks ready, conjure up your inner strength, and let's party," said festival creative director Ms Glitta Supernova.

"With performance, magical music to dance to, new friendships and free make-up transformations, you won't want to miss this."

Performers will include DJ Rachel Maria Cox, connoisseur of the sing-along; MC Fox Pflueger, performance art drag thing; Tynga Williams, high kicks and back flips; Jazida, cabaret lightning rod and MiniB, proof that gender is an illusion.

Ms Supernova said: "Youth workers are available if you want to have a chat and to make sure everyone has a safe and supported experience.

"Trained First Aid and Mental Health First Aid will be available."

She said strict rules would ensure the event was drug, smoke and alcohol-free.

All volunteers and staff would ensure compliance with child safety laws and checks.

A chill-out space would be accessible away from the dance floor.

Mingaletta is located at 6 Sydney Ave, Umina.
