New executive elected at bridge club

The Brisbane Water Bridge Club held its annual general meeting on Monday, September 11, and elected a new executive and committee for the next 12 months.

Retiring president Ms Sylvia Foster's annual report highlighted the difficulties faced as the club emerged from Covid.

She thanked the past committee and the members for their continued support and participation over the past 12 months.

She wished the club continued success and promised the new Committee her on-going support.

The new executive elected was president Mr Jim Routledge, vice-president Ms Christine Hadaway, secretary Ms Ann Snow and treasurer Mr David Adams.

Elected to the committee were Mr Jaan Oitmaa, Mr Chris Hasemore, Mr Steve Anderson and Ms Jenny Buckley.

Mr Jorgen Boettiger was appointed auditor.

New president Mr Routledge thanked the members for their support and said he was looking forward to the challenge of the next year.

He also thanked all those volunteers for agreeing to continue their work which kept the club functioning so well.
