Stalls raise money for stroke recovery club
Two stalls run by the Woy Woy Stroke Recovery Club earlier this month have raised $500 for the group.
The stalls were held at Everglades Country Club on Wednesday, September 6, and at Peninsula Plaza, Woy Woy, on the Thursday, September 7, to coincide with Stroke Awareness Week from September 4 to 10.
A donated gift voucher allowed the club to buy goods for a hamper which was raffled to help cover running costs.
"We made over $500 selling pens and raffle tickets, and gave out free information on stroke," said club secretary Ms Lynette Elario.
"The club is a not-for-profit organisation helping members and their families who have suffered stroke.
"We are a social club run by volunteers.
"We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at Everglades Country Club."
