Students attend IT and cyber day at Newcastle Uni
Year 11 BWSC Woy Woy students with a passion for IT and cyber attended a "Big Day In" 2023 at Newcastle University on Wednesday, August 30.
They heard talks from keynote speakers from the Australian Signals Directorate, the Woolworths Group and Microsoft.
"Students learned about what these organisations are doing in the tech space, and what they are looking for in new hires," said campus principal Ms Rebecca Cooper.
They also heard of opportunities to participate in work experience, internships and other pathways into the Cyber and IT sector.
"Students also had opportunities to network with industry stakeholders at their expo stalls and learn further insights to how to get a foot in the door."
