Free Fair Day is centrepiece of Coastal Twist Festival
The Coastie Carnie Fair Day is one of three free events being held on the Peninsula as part of the Coastal Twist Festival, which runs from Tuesday, September 26, to Monday, October 2.
The Fair Day at Umina's Recreation Precinct from 10am to 5pm on Sunday, October 1, is billed as the Festival centrepiece.
"The Fair Day is the biggest and most colourful all-ages event of the festival," said creative director Ms Glitta Supernova.
"Everyone from everywhere is invited to the absolute beating heart of the Coastal Twist Festival.
"A free vibrant and fun day, our Coastie Carnie Fair Day is where absolutely everyone from near and afar come together to celebrate humanity and connection in a fun and culturally rich day of art, entertainment, food, shopping and pets with a mass outdoor picnic.
"Our last Coastie Carnie Fair Day saw over 9000 locals and visitors hit the Peninsula Recreation Precinct.
"Come along and soak up the atmosphere in an all-day rainbow of visible inclusion across abilities, ages, genders, cultures and mindsets.
"Bring your mate, hang a blanket with your family, shop our bespoke makers market or come dance your buns off.
"Get amongst it and register today for the infamous Puparazzi Pooch Parade."
The other two free events to be held on the Peninsula are an open mic poetry night in Woy Woy and a youth dance at Umina.
Paid activities on the Peninsula include Drag Bingo at Ettalong Diggers Club on Wednesday, September 27, Love Club Superstars Cabaret at the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus in Ettalong on Friday, September 29, a Clubbercise Family Workout and a Bauhaus Spellbound Dance Party both at the Fun Haus on Saturday, September 30, and a Short Shorts Film Arvo at the Ocean Beach Surf Life Saving Club on Sunday, October 1.
