Zenden named in Australian Joeys squad

Central Coast Mariners Academy player Zenden Hart, from Woy Woy, has been named to the Australian Joeys soccer squad that will contest the UEFA Youth Tournament in Turkey this March.

Zenden, who first took up the game with Southern and Ettalong United Football Club, is the Central Coast's only player to be selected.

He will be one of the squad's two goal keepers.

The squad includes 13 players aligned with A-League clubs, five players based in Europe, and two players hailing from clubs in the NSW National Premier Leagues.

Joeys head coach Mr Trevor Morgan said a key focus in the first half of 2019 was on searching for new talent to build depth in the Joeys.

The Joeys first game of the "friendly" will be against Turkey on March 4, followed by Tanzania on March 6 and Guinea on March 8.
