PCYC receives $2000 for equipment

PCYC Umina Beach will receive $2000 towards purchasing equipment for sport and recreational activities for youth under a grant from the NSW Government.

Liberal candidate for Gosford Ms Sue Dengate said PCYC Umina Beach was a much-loved local youth organisation on the Peninsula.

"The PCYC provides a range of fun, safe and social sport and recreational activities for local young people," Ms Dengate said.

"It's great that we can support local community organisations like this, who have produced State and National champions, world title contenders and Commonwealth Games medallists."

She said the PCYC worked closely with police and the community to empower young people and aimed to get young people active in life, developing their life skills, character, and leadership potential.
