Keneallys to talk about Monserrat series
A talk by Australian author Tom Keneally and his writer daughter Meg Keneally will be given at Woy Woy Library from 5:45pm on March 27.
The Keneallys are the co-authors of the Monserrat Series, a crime series set in the penal settlement of Port Macquarie, Sydney and Parramatta.
They will be discussing the latest book in the series.
Mr Keneally was born in 1935 and his first novel was published in 1964.
He is most known for his award-winning novel Schindler's List.
Other works of Mr Keneally's of repute include The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith and The People's Train.
He has won the Miles Franklin Award, the Booker Prize, the Los Angeles Times Prize, the Mondello International Prize and has been made a Literary Lion of the New York Public Library, a Fellow of the American Academy and a recipient of the University of California gold medal.
The evening has been organised by Umina Book Bazaar in collaboration with Penguin Books Australia.
The event is free but seats are limited so bookings are essential.
