Parent-teacher interviews at Umina

Umina Beach Public School will be holding parent-teacher interviews from February 25 to March 6, for interested parents.

"We are hoping that parents will take advantage of the opportunity to meet the teacher in a one-to-one situation and discuss their child," said principal Ms Lyn Davis.

"Are there things about your child you want the teacher to be aware of?

"Is your child anxious about coming to school?

"How difficult is it to fit in a homework schedule around sporting commitments?

"How do they get on with their siblings?

"Who are their friends?

"What after school activities does your child take part in?

"Does your child read at home?

"How much screen time does your child have at home?

"Knowing these things can lead to a better relationship between the teacher and your child.

"The focus of the interview will be your child," Ms Davis said.
