Funding for Pearl Beach lagoon
The State Government has announced $47,000 to fund planning and management work at the Pearl Beach Lagoon.
The money will go to Central Coast Council to improve the health of the lagoon under the Pearl Beach Coastal Zone Management Plan.
The funding comes from the NSW Government's Coastal and Estuary Grants Program.
Liberal candidate for Gosford Ms Sue Dengate said the community would welcome the news.
"Keeping our waterways healthy is very important and this investment will strengthen the Council's ability to manage the lagoon," Ms Dengate said.
The funding is expected to allow Council to develop processes to investigate hydrological and sedimentary processes occurring within the lagoon, which affect the lagoon's health.
