School promotes health

Empire Bay Public School has received awards for being a Health Promoting School in the Central Coast Health Promoting Awards.

The school was awarded the Nutritious Food Award for implementing a healthy canteen policy and for selling health-promoting foods.

It also won awards for injury prevention, having a sun protection policy and making efforts to provide shade.

The school was recognised for promoting physical activity to the whole school community and promoting positive mental health to the entire school community in the course of the year.
