Close-fought game

Woy Woy Public School girls' touch football team played Avoca Public School on Monday, October 20, narrowly losing a close-fought game.

At half time, neither team had scored.

By full time, the scores were still locked at nil-all.

"We didn't know who was more nervous, the supporters or the team," said Gabie O'Brien.

To break the tie, a player went off every two minutes.

The team played for eight minutes until there was only three players left on each team.

The game continued for 12 more minutes, when Avoca snuck in and scored the winning try.

"Overall the girls tried their hardest and it was a great experience for us all," Gabie said.
