Golf day for children's ward

Everglades Country Club raised $14,000 at its annual charity golf day and auction on Monday, September 15.

The Central Coast Social Golf Club organised the event, which saw 140 golfers converge on Everglades Country Club.

The taxi golf club executive recently presented the funds raised to Ms Elizabeth Ambler, assistant executive officer of Central Coast Area Health.

Ms Ambler thanked the social golf club for the donation, which will be utilised to bolster the Children's Ward Wish List at Gosford Hospital.

Golf club vice-president John Lewis said he was appreciative of the generous support of the local Peninsula business community and the supporters of the golf day.

"The latest donation took the total sum given to the Children's Ward over the past three years by the Taxi Golf Club to $44,000," he said.
