Strom picnic at Killcare Heights

A picnic to honour the life and works of Allen and Beryl Strom is to be held at the Strom home in Killcare Heights on Sunday, September 28.

The picnic is to be held at 230 Scenic Rd, Killcare Heights, form 11am to 3pm.

"A number of people here on the Central Coast have expressed a desire to have some on-going recognition and celebration of both Allen and Beryl Strom," said organiser Norm Harris.

"The annual Strom picnic is an opportunity for us to get together informally in recognition and as a celebration of the many achievements of the Stroms."

Allen Strom was awarded an AM for his work and wife Beryl was awarded an OAM

"For many years Allen and Beryl Strom gave their time and knowledge willingly to protect and conserve the natural built environment of the Central Coast.

"We encourage anybody who values and appreciates the contribution of the Stroms to attend," Ms Harris said.

Allen Strom died in March 1997, and Beryl Strom died last November.
