Misprint leads to rescheduled meeting
A misprint in letters sent out by Gosford Council has meant that Peninsula residents missed out on attending a public meeting regarding the development of the Peninsula Leisure Centre.
The meeting would have addressed the controversial issue of insulation in the roof of the structure, which local residents claim will create a significant amount of noise.
Council originally sent out letters inviting Peninsula residents to a meeting on October 18 at Ocean Beach Surf Club.
The meeting was actually held on Thursday, September 18.
Only one resident attended the meeting.
Gosford Council is to re-hold this meeting on Thursday, September 25, at Ocean Beach Surf Club from 4pm to 5.30pm.
Attending the meeting will be Mr Michael Davies from Michael Davies and Associates Architects, Council's Manager of Recreation Mr Peter Hickman, Ms Tracey Gowen from acoustic consultants Renzo Tonin and Associates, and Council's Coordinator of Aquatics Mr Phil Moore.
Mr Brendon Blakely from Elton Consulting will facilitate the session.
Anyone interested in attending should advise Ms Maureen Wilson at Gosford Council on 4325 8486.
