Renay walks for diabetes
Umina resident Renay Foster will participate in 5km walk around Centennial Park in Sydney on October 19 to raise money for diabetes research.
Ms Foster's eight-year-old son Blake was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes last year.
Blake needs two insulin injections a day.
"My family and I have had to change our diet and I never have time off for good behavior," Blake said.
Blake will captain the team made up of his family and friends for the Walk to Cure Diabetes on Sunday, October 19.
The Fosters are currently looking for sponsor for their team.
Blake's school, Woy Woy South Public, is also holding a mufti day on Friday, October 17, to help raise money for research.
Any donation over $2 is tax deductible.
To make a donation, phone Renay Foster on 4342 0789.
